Birthday flowers

Since I managed to delete ALL of Small Fry’s birthday party photos (I blame the accident on mommy brain. And cake overload.) I figured the least I could do after the fact (besides stage a cake-eating reenactment) is photograph the centerpiece of her farm-themed party. It just makes me happy.

The watering can belonged to Small Fry’s great-grandmother Maxine. I love it. It usually perches on our front stoop, but during the party it made a lovely home for sunflowers.

  1. Such a sunny and happy flower…perfect for a birthday celebration…especially in the gloomy winter months! Beautiful pic sis.

  2. How lovely! Sunflowers in a watering can are just the most cheery thing in the world!

  3. I love your flower photo. It is so beautiful and elegant. It was nice going through your blog.

  4. Nannie would have loved your centerpiece. That watering can has made the rounds from weddings to birthdays creating wonderful memories.

    • I always love using our Nannie hand-me-downs. Makes everything more special.

  5. Such a pretty photo! Sorry to hear all the photos are gone 😦
